Please also refer to the translucency table which shows the density of dye in each spray. This image is indicative of the true colour. The shade and depth of colour varies depending on the item being sprayed and the amount of spray used.

Colour:

Light brown, slightly golden sandy brown colour. Midway between the Mud Brown and the rich Rusty Red.

Density of Colour:

Medium density.

Translucency:

Medium translucency.

Water Solubility:

Medium to good solubility in water.

Ease Of Use:

Very easy to use due to the medium quantity of dye in the spray.

About Sand Brown:

Sand brown is a little lighter than Mud and Oil brown. A more subtle, delicate shade and very versatile. It can be used on all kinds of models and landscapes and is very effective. We use it on most models, such as the Great Central Wagon.

Landscapes:

On grass, tree and shrub foliage Sand Brown is a little less visible than Mud or Oil Brown and a little easier to use. It looks good on ballast as well as roads and platforms.

Models:

Sand Brown looks like sandy dirt when applied to wagons, carriages, locos and houses. It's a more gentle shade than Mud and Oil Brown and is less obtrusive. On lighter coloured models all that is often needed is a quick spray and no more. Works really well combined with Light Grey and Slate Grey.
