(Ref: Code for ordering 49053)

Please also refer to the translucency table which shows the density of dye in each spray. This image is indicative of the true colour. The shade and depth of colour varies depending on the item being sprayed and the amount of spray used.

Colour:

Oil Brown is an oily green dirty colour. Similar to Mud Brown, but slightly oily green. Gives a coating that looks like years of oily dirt build up.

Density of Colour:

Medium - higher density.

Translucency:

Medium - less translucent.

Water Solubility:

Medium solubility in water.

Ease Of Use:

Easy to use due to the medium quantity of dye in the spray.

About Oil Brown:

It looks just like oily dirt. One quick spray makes models look weathered. One of our most effective, highest selling colours. Works really well on its own or mixed with any of the other colours, particularly Slate Grey. If you are buying just one spray, then make it this one, or Mud Brown.

Landscapes:

On grass, tree and shrub foliage Oil Brown is similar to Mud Brown and looks a dark muddy colour. In our opinion it's one of the best sprays for use on ballast, rails and sleepers, creating a really muddy/dirty finish. Wipe it off the top of the rails using a damp tissue after it has dried. Also very effective on roads and platforms.

Models:

Oil Brown looks like oily dirt when applied to model houses and trains. We use it on almost all our models.
